While New York City is known as a melting pot, Astoria might be the microcosm that’s even more reflective of our beloved city’s diversity. With various Greek, Brazilian, Irish, Italian, Egyptian, Creole, Indian and more cuisines offered in the area, it’s no wonder why so many foodies and families choose Astoria as their home. It also helps that Astoria allows folks to retain some semblance of a suburban city feel while still making it easy to travel to the city via numerous MTA stops for those who want to be in Manhattan. If you’re looking to move to this side of Queens, we’ve put together a list of the buildings you may want to consider in your apartment search. Here are 4 Awesome Astoria Apartment Treasures:
First off, we love the Citiview building. Located at 12-14 31st Avenue, the building boasts hardwood floors for every apartment, as well as private storage and large terraces for entertaining guests. Some of their apartments even come with Chef’s kitchens, with stainless steel appliances and a dishwasher to boot. Nearby, you can walk to El Bien Gusto for Mexican fare, as well as Italian at Brother’s Pizzeria. If you’re more of a home cook (we won’t judge….well, maybe a little), then C-Town is just a couple of blocks away.
However, if you love the Astoria vibe but want a bit more Manhattan on the water feel, the building at 10 Halletts Point would be perfect for you. It is an elevator building with a doorman, a full-fledged gym, and a garage for residents. The building itself overlooks the East River, allowing you to rise with the sun, as well as glimpse the city skyline when you’re winding down. The apartments feature gourmet kitchens with breakfast bars, extra storage for all your knick-knacks, open concept floor plans, an en-suite washer and dryer, and a massive amount of closet space. There’s a lot to love about this Astoria apartment.
One of the more beloved options (and the penultimate suggestion in our 4 Awesome Astoria Apartment Treasures) is Astoria Central, located at 31-57 31st St. If you’re looking for a luxury Astoria apartment, this might be the one for you. This luxury building features apartments that come with ample closet space, an in-unit washer, and dryer, as well as oversized windows that will flood your apartment with light. The building also has a fully-equipped fitness center, indoor parking, bike storage, and a rooftop terrace with a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, as well as a doorman and a resident lounge. If you’re a food lover, you’re going to want to live here, given the proximity to Starbucks, Tamashii Ramen, Amylos Taverna, and King Souvlaki. Other killer grub places include The Trestle, The Hightower, and Pye Boat Noodle – you’re going to have to visit these places soon!
While on the hunt for an Astoria apartment, check out the ones at 23-15 Astoria Boulevard. The building these apartments are in is just one block to the N/W train and close to all the shops and restaurants off Ditmars Boulevard. Each condo has stainless steel appliances against the backdrop of an open kitchen-living room layout, with spacious queen-size bedrooms, as well as separate office space for your work-from-home needs.
