Finding housing in New York City is a marathon, not a sprint – but finding an apartment that fits all your needs in either Downtown or Midtown Manhattan that also accommodates your pet is easier said than done. Midtown

First off, we love the EOS Nomad building near the Garment District/ Midtown South. This building is off West 31st Street, and you can have up to two pets here up to 65 lbs. The building itself comes with a door attendant, gym, elevator, and a pool. The apartments come with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, premium hardwood floors, and luxurious bathrooms and living spaces. Of course, EOS Nomad is also near bars, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping, with easy access to almost every transit line.

If you are more of a fan of the Murray Hill area, we love Murray Hill Tower, off East 40th Street, as it comes with a doorman, gym, pool in an elevator building. They do love and allow pets, have a 24-hour concierge, a laundry facility on every floor, parking, a children’s play area, as well as an on-site Goddard School for those with children. The apartments themselves come with black granite countertops, walk-in closets, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, and high ceilings, with additional storage available. The Murray Hill Tower building is also close to hot spots such as the Amish Market, Tsukushi, Blink Fitness, and Orange Theory, if you love good food and working out.

Downtown

Perhaps you prefer apartments more in the Downtown area – if so, we love the 10 Hanover Square building. Not only is it pet friendly, but it comes with the standard doorman, gym, and elevators endemic to luxury apartments. There is also a kitchen for caterers, on-site retail, additional storage, an app for residents, a sundeck with grills, and other amenities. Inside the apartments, you can find modern cabinetry, soaking tubs, in-unit washers and dryers, walk-in closets, and stainless-steel appliances that enhance your living experience. The additional proximity to Wall Street, primarily if you work in finance, is desirable, and you also get to experience amazing views of the city!

Our last recommendation is Tribeca Pointe, at 41 River Terrace. Like our other suggestions, of course, it is pet-friendly, but it also offers a children’s playroom, sundeck, fitness center, and a solarium, all packaged in an elevator building. Each apartment comes with ample sunlight, lovely Manhattan views, massive closet spaces, hardwood floors, dishwashers, and pass-through kitchens. All this is also close to nearby parks, the Chamber Street subway, and Brookfield Place’s restaurants and shopping. If you choose to bike around the area, multiple Citibikes are also available for rental to explore the neighborhood.
